Summer Enrichment and Advancement Program

Dear Parents,

I am implementing a summer learning program with the goal of bridging gaps in 6th grade math skills and introducing 7th grade skills to the students. The program is completely online, so there is no need to have transportation. Students only need access to a device with Internet service. In June, I will assign students a 6th grade Review Test to assess which skills they need further remediation. We will focus on these skills for the first few weeks. I will post a Bellringer each day that corresponds to those skills, as well as notes and/or video tutorials. Once a week, I will host a video conference through Google Hangouts to speak with the students about their weaknesses and successes.

In July, the focus will shift to an introduction to 7th grade math. These skills will include content from the 7th grade Course of Study and Common Core Standards. Students will be able to get a head start on the upcoming school year.

The cost of the program is $150 for the summer ($75 is due June 1st, and $75 is due July 1st), or pay only $100 for both sessions if paid by June 1st. Students may do one session or both. The tuition is to be paid using Pay Pal; therefore, parents will need to register for a Pay Pal account if you do not currently have one.

If you would like to sign up for the program, please email me by May 25th, at rhudson0524@gmail.com. Include the following info:
1. Child's Name
2. Parent(s) Name(s)
3. Phone #
4. Email
5. Which sessions do you plan to attend?

Also, please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

I look forward to working with all of you!
